Week 4 - Team in Training

Today's practice was very special! We had a chance to see all the other teams (triathlon and cycling) after practice. Today's run: 5 MILES!! It was going great until we hit mile 2 and there was this KILLER HILL! On my way back my right leg started to cramp up so I had to slow down.

After practice some mentors were nice enough bring us breakfast! You're excited about the bananas? I was excited about the Taco Cabana breakfast tacos in the back ;) ha ha ha

We had a special guest do the honor moment. Each time before practice, a member talks about the reason why they joined Team in Training. Some are survivors and others are running in honor of a family member or a friend.

 We then did a silent mile walk with all the members.

Sunday Awesomeness!

Today was such a pretty day! This morning I joined a couple of the people in Team In Training at a curve-side fundraiser. I was amazed at how many people donated while at a red light. We were able to raise enough funds in just 2 hours! 

Afterwards we had lunch at Austin Java. I've been there before for breakfast and the lunch was just as good. I ordered the Cheddar Bacon Avocado Cheese Burger. I KNOW! I KNOW! It looks super unhealthy but I couldn't help myself. I did order a side of Caesar Salad and a cold water to make up for it ;)

Right now I just got home. I'm so sleepy. I'm gonna take a power nap and hopefully read before the Grammy's start. Who's watching??

Week 3

Today's morning practice was awesome! We ran 4 miles and it was SUPER COLD!! To top it off I didn't wear a long sleeve undershirt. WHAT WAS I THINKING???  I was freezing the whole time and couldn't feel my arms after the 2 mile mark ha ha! Afterwards we had a quick nutrition info session. I seriously need to start eating more healthy. We then had breakfast at La'Madeleine's. Stephanie and I ordered a yogurt parfait with wheat toast, orange juice and water. 

Right now I'm about to shower and get on with my day. Have an awesome weekend!!! 

Snow in Austin... (a little)

 I went outside at 3 AM and everybody was playing in the snow. It was nothing compare to Dallas, but it was some and we were excited! I found Chuy, Denise and Edgar, plus random people who were all enjoying the little snow. We walked around Ballpark looking for a carrot, waking people up and looking at all the penis drawings everybody made. At about 4AM Chuy made some yummy hot cocoa. We got excited when we saw the news say UT classes were cancelled =) What did you do in this freezing weather?

 So many people were drawing penises on the floor... some even made a snow penis!
