Me? Pregnant!!! Noooooooooo

Lately I've been dreaming I'm either pregnant or giving birth. At first, I was worried it was a sign I was gonna get knocked up soon! HELL NA! Right now I can't afford to feed myself, less a child! So I started to do some research and to my relief I found it was NOT a sign I was going to reproduce anytime soon! THANK GOD! But instead it relates to some personal issues and thoughts I find myself dealing with right now.

Physically
"You are ready for an increase in your income."

Why YES! I sure am! I've been complaining about how it sucks to be broke right now. Thankfully, I started working at my old job this past Tuesday so all is good for now. Hopefully I can find a better job in the long run. I like my currently job, but I would much rather be in a place I'm busier.

Emotionally
"You feel anxiety about being alone, or about being crowded and responsible for others. You feel stuck and impatient, waiting for something to happen."

Yes, I totally agree on this. I've been feeling so anxious lately but I don't know why. It's probably these NBA Finals! Go Mavs! No, but I really don't know why. I do feel "stuck" being back at home. For the past 4 years, I've been living on my own and moving back with momma... it just sucks. I hate that she treats me like a teenager. I love my mom, but right now I would much rather live anywhere else but here :\

Mental-Spiritual:
"an aspect of yourself or some aspect of your personal life is growing and developing. This may also represent the birth of a new idea, direction, project or goal."

I've been feeling like this with school. Somehow, I just don't find myself doing what I wanna do. A part of me saw college as a way to get away from home, an escape. I grabbed the bull by the horns and was off for the ride! Eventually I realized I was having trouble deciding between majors. Many times I thought about just quitting and going back home but then I would say to myself, "You've come this far, you can't give up now!" I can't give up now, but I want some change. I've been thinking about what I really want to do, and  I believe I know what I really want to do. But for now that would require me to keep working, save some money and hopefully go for it.

I see myself moving on up in the near future. I might hit some road bums that may slow me down, but hopefully with the help of family and friends, I will overcome anything my way.

Graduation 2011

Today a lot of my close friends graduated from the University of Texas at Austin, hook'em horns! The ceremony started at 9AM, I know super early! But I couldn't miss it for the world especially because one of my BFF's Anna Maria Benitez graduated! She had plenty of support from her family and friends. Here are a couple of pictures from today's day.

Anna walking the stage! You go girl!
The Eyes of Texas Are Upon Youuuuuuuuu!
Anna and her parents who flew in from Rhode Island and Florida to come see her! She loves them so much! I have never seen a couple so in love =)
Anna and me!
Fail picture! But here Alejandra joined us. I love her too!
There was seriously something up at the entrance/exit of this garage because for 35 minutes NOBODY! I repeat NOBODY could get out. We were slowly dying from all these cars being turned on but finally made it out and headed to Chilis.
Typical... what can I say I'm a burger girl. I was on a major food coma after this. I went home and passed the f out! Well I didn't get any sleep the night before but still I slept good after this.

This blog will be updated are I get more pictures. Thanks for visiting =)

What Am I Doing Here?

Have you ever woken up one night and asked yourself, what am I doing here? Well I've been asking myself that same question for weeks now. I've been spending a lot of time alone, thinking....  thinking about my future, where I want to go, who I want to be... just everything about my life. Since I've been back to Austin, a part of me feels incomplete. There's something in my life missing and it's keeping me from being happy. But what should I do? Should I go in search of this missing piece?  Should I put school on hold? But I'm so close!!! Will it be worth it?

I was much happier when I was working in Dallas. Something about working gave me a sense of control and independence. I was able to make decisions and have a say in a business I knew nothing of. While here in Austin, I feel stuck. I'm confined to my apartment the majority of my day. All I do is go to school, come back home, go to school, come back home. I have no sense of control and financially I'm so dependent on my family. I hate it!

My relationship with an ex-boyfriend only made things worst. When you care so much about somebody, only to find out they don't care the same way about you, well it's a really crappy feeling. Next thing I knew, I felt like the most worthless and unloved person. A part of me wondered how I could be so stupid to waste my time. I even considered him my best friend. A part of me just feels so empty and cold right now.... I'll be okay :)
Back to my life.... so for weeks now I've been thinking about my life. I was finally able to come up with an idea of what I want to do, where I see myself headed. Hopefully this brings some happiness into my life and enables me to enjoy it to the fullest. I might have to put some things on hold, but I'll worry about that later, and let life take care of it. I'm just excited to be going back to Dallas this weekend(HOME SWEET HOME!) and be surrounded by my family and friends. This is the only life I'll ever have and I have to do what makes me happy.

you might have been."

Running Wild

ZOOMA HALF-MARATHON
Saturday April 16th 2011

On Saturday, I ran my first ever half-marathon! Since the beginning of training they had warned us about this challenging course: The ZOOMA Austin half marathon is a challenging course through the scenic Texas countryside with rolling hills. THEY WEREN'T LYING ABOUT THOSE HILLS! I was so excited the day of the race. My friend Jarrah, who's been my friend since middle school, came from Dallas to watch me. Besides the killer hills, the course was so nice. Overall it was a great experience. I was able to be part of such an amazing group of people. And with the help of family and friends I was also able to raise funds for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
